Isn’t weather (in general) rather amazing? I am always reminded of how awesome nature is when She gets my attention.

It is both sad and ironic that the New Rochelle Public Library may lose all city funding and be forced to close. It’s sad because without public libraries, cities lose out on places of learning. It’s ironic because New Rochelle Public Library is in the Westchester Library System, under the direction of ALA President Mitch Freedman.

I rarely watch TV anymore, but when I do, it’s usually because Trading Spaces is on. Most of the time, I’m listening to public radio, whether I’m at home or in the car. So, you can imagine my surprise and delight when I heard this on the radio last night.

Jessamyn West has been elected to ALA Council! Yippee! (I voted for her – did you?)

I had a small accident on the road the other day that resulted in my rear bumper needing to be replaced. Thankfully, that’s the only thing that was damaged. Unfortunately, I will also have to replace the bumperstickers I have collected on in over the past three years. If anyone wants to contribute, I’ll be making a list of them shortly. Oh, and if anyone knows where I could get a few of these, that would be splendid.

It’s been a long time since I was a junior in college exploring the World Wide Web for the first time. I started off with random directory searches in Yahoo!, but once I found my niches, I rarely ventured out again, unless it was a focused search on Google or some other search engine.
Today was different. Today, I decided to explore my new preferred directory, dmoz, and see what I could find. Here are a few of the more interesting sites:

I’m trying to decide about what to do with my hair.

I’m trying to decide about what to do with my hair. For most of the past couple of years it has been really short. I mean really short. Short as in I get called “sir” more often that you’d expect someone with a 42-D bra size to be called “sir”. One of my friends sent me to hair-styles.org for some direction. I found this quote to be rather amusing:

“Most women finally hack their hair off the same day they file for divorce. Interesting side note don’t you think.”

I didn’t initially cut my hair off because of a divorce; it was more of a lifestyle statement. I wanted a hair style that was easy and convenient, and I didn’t care anymore about how other people might perceive me with that hair style. Now I want to change my hair style again, but I’m a little more concerned about how it will look. I still want the easy and convenient bit, but maybe I can do that with a slightly longer style. Hm…
